SEO keyword research can be a minefield, since it is such a complicated process with many variables, and it really takes an expert’s eye to discern which keywords will benefit a particular website the most. That is why we have decided to launch our own SEO keyword research service, in order to be able to help our clients optimize their keywords in a professional and reliable way.
By looking at what keywords you’re already targeting, and what your competitors are targeting, we’ll devise a strategy that will find the best keywords for your internet business. We’ll send you a list of keywords and you only pay for the keywords that you select.
A variation keyword is a keyword that is similarly written as the main keyword, but usually longer and/or with less volume. We see that as a variation keyword, which we throw in as a bonus. In the sample section below, you can see both main and variation keywords.
If you do not accept any keywords, you are entitled to a refund, but a reason must be stated as to why and you should give the keyword researcher several chances to make up for his or her mistake. You are also entitled to a partial refund as well.
It is not always the case that the simplest and most obvious keywords will help you increase traffic and conversions. In fact, precisely the opposite is true. Many of your competitors will already have thought of the simple keywords related to your particular field, so the competition in terms of ranking among search results will be fierce.
Giant companies can get away with this, since they have the resources to boost their websites to the top of the results for almost all of the most commonly searched terms in any particular field, but smaller companies have to get creative in order to bypass this incredible systemic advantage that major companies have. That is where SEO keyword research comes in.
In order to get the most bang for your buck in terms of the money you pay Google for AdWords, it is much better to focus on a host of relatively specific, low-volume keywords, instead of going for general, catch-all keywords which have a lot of competition. In the SEO business, we call these specific and relatively low volume keywords ‘long tail keywords’, and they are the bread and butter of any competent low budget SEO campaign.
By employing more specific keywords to rank your site on, you are also likely to attract much better leads to your website at the same time. That is because searching for specific keywords falls near the end of the customer search trajectory, which makes it more likely that the user is going to buy something.
In order to explain this more clearly, let us assume that a user wants to buy a new mobile phone. They will start out by searching a general term like ‘best mobile phones’. This is the stage in which the user gathers information on various products, and perhaps decides which one they like best. Once this is done, they will try to find the best deal for their chosen phone, so they will type in something along the lines of ‘samsung galaxy note 8 cheap’.
This is the stage when the user practically has their wallet out already, and is actively looking to buy, so ranking well on search terms such as these is far more likely to allow you to close the deal with them, than if you were to attract a lot of uninterested traffic to your site.
